Polar Storm

A hard-fought battle in the Arctic North, set during the Soviet Petsamo and Kirkenes operation of October 1944. Soviet forces seek to drive German troops from northern Finland, while the German XIX Mountain Corps attempts to retreat into northern Norway. Players command opposing forces across a hex-based map using the WWII Battle Series rules, with special rules, events, and scenario-specific victory conditions depicting the campaign. The game is taught in around 30 minutes and uses a map scale of just under four miles per hex.
