Rite of the Hero
An introductory fantasy adventure for 4–6 characters of levels 1–2. In this system-agnostic one-shot, aspiring adventurers undertake an age-old rite of passage in the Temple of the Blade, an ancient structure built around a massive blade embedded in an obsidian crater. Players explore labyrinthine catacombs beneath the temple, facing unknown dangers as they seek to survive and earn the right to call themselves heroes. The adventure is designed for use with OSR rulesets, D&D 5E, and other fantasy roleplaying systems, with monster statistics for OSRIC and 5E included in an appendix.
