This supplement covers the Sassanid Persian Empire and its four-century struggle against Rome and Byzantium, from the Euphrates to the Indus. It adds Palmyran and Parthian forces, along with new Persian and Roman units and leaders, including armored cavalry and war elephants. The book includes background articles and more than a dozen scenarios for the Rome at War system. It requires the maps and playing pieces from Rome at War II: Fading Legions, and adds 88 double-sized and 88 large playing pieces.
