Saga
A Dark Ages miniatures skirmish game that uses a bespoke dice-driven command system. Players field forces of 25–73 miniatures divided into 4–12 figure units, graded as Hearthguard, Warriors, or Levy, and build armies from a 4- or 6-point roster (points correspond to fixed counts of each unit type). Each faction uses a faction-specific battleboard that presents command options determined by special saga dice each turn. Combat and shooting resolve with six-sided dice, while strategic play focuses on selecting and timing battleboard commands to exploit unit strengths and battlefield position. The core box includes battleboards for the initial Anglo-Danish, Viking, Welsh, and Norman forces.
