Sam Grant: The Civil War in the West 1862-1864
A strategic wargame covering the western theater of the American Civil War from 1862 to 1864, focused on the Mississippi region between Vicksburg and Cincinnati. Players maneuver Northern and Southern forces across a card-stock map, using wooden blocks to conceal unit identities and track strength through block orientation. Combat includes a tactical layer with battle maps showing center and flank positions for individual units. The game can also be combined with Bobby Lee to represent both major theaters of the Civil War in a single campaign.
