Scourge: The Deluxe Guide to Disease and Poison
A rules supplement for fantasy roleplaying that reworks poisons and diseases into multi-stage afflictions. Characters make saving throws against effects while suffering ongoing symptoms, with diseases using contagion rules and poisons tracking toxicity as it rises and falls. Enhanced afflictions have challenge ratings and can grant experience for survival; poisons also include rules for crafting and purchase. The book provides 100 new diseases and poisons, ranging from minor conditions to deadly threats, with effects such as uncontrolled polymorphing, vermin attraction, and shapeshifting penalties.
