Scroll 1.0
A role-playing game set in an abstract digital universe, where characters can be programs, subprograms, avatars controlled by physical users, or consciousnesses inhabiting a network. Players explore the hidden lives of artificial beings through their evolution, conflicts, dreams, goals, and research. The flexible setting supports stories about computers, networks, processes, and operations, and can also complement other role-playing games. It does not simulate information technology realistically, though adventures can take a more technical approach; no computer knowledge is required.
