Second World War at Sea: Coral Sea

Introductory game for the Second World War at Sea series, covering the 1942 Battle of the Coral Sea. The Japanese player seeks to establish bases in New Guinea and at Tulagi, while the American player attempts to stop them. Players maneuver task forces across an operational map and search for opposing forces with aircraft, submarines, and surface ships. When contact is made, combat moves to a tactical hex map, where ships use gunnery and torpedoes and aircraft conduct attacks. Damage can affect engines, hulls, and armament.
