Six Generations

2004 · Card Game

Six Generations

This educational card game follows a family that emigrates from Europe to the United States during the first half of the 19th century. Players build a family tree of 64 characters across six generations, tracing the ancestors of two siblings living in the United States in 2005. Cards introduce names, family relationships, countries and regions, ethnic clothing, and historical details such as the growth of the American flag. Players are dealt six cards and take turns adding people to the family tree, beginning with the European generation and continuing through their descendants. When unable to play, a player draws a card. The game supports one to twelve players.
