Skies Above Britain

Command a small RAF squadron of Hurricanes or Spitfires intercepting German daylight bombing raids over southeast England in 1940. Play as individual aircraft (represented by stickered wooden blocks), search for and engage incoming raids, and contend with numerically superior and often more experienced German fighters. Gameplay uses cards and simple tactical mechanics to simulate individual dogfights, fighter-vs.-bomber interactions, and situational decision-making without complex bookkeeping. Scenarios range from single patrols (about 30+ minutes) to generated patrols, multi-patrol campaigns, or larger campaigns spanning many patrols; components include boards, cards, blocks, counters and player aids to support solitaire play.
