Sovereign's Stratagem: Original
Two rival monarchs command armies across a fractured 11×11 battlefield. Each side begins with a Sovereign, two Sentinels, and six Pikemen, then recruits specialized mercenaries from a shared pool of three randomly selected unit types. On each turn, a player either maneuvers a piece already on the board or spends a limited Draft Seal to deploy a mercenary in the Citadel or beside the Sovereign. Pikemen crossing the central Frontier become Veterans with improved movement. Victory comes by checkmating the opposing Sovereign or completely immobilizing the enemy army.
