Stay Cool

Players alternate between answering verbal questions from one neighbor and “writing” short word answers with seven-letter dice for questions from the other neighbor, while a player operates a 30-second sand timer repeatedly to give a limited total time. Each active player has up to two minutes per round (four flips of the 30-second timer) to produce as many left-side verbal answers and right-side dice-written answers as possible; the round score equals the product of the two counts. Subsequent rounds add constraints: the active player must tell the timer-watcher to flip the hourglass before it runs out, and finally the timer is hidden from the active player, increasing the multitasking challenge.
