Swarms
This system-neutral PDF helps gamemasters use swarms as more than standard combat encounters. It presents them as vexing obstacles that have no armor class, defenses, or initiative, and that function differently from both combat and traps. The guide covers animal swarms such as bats, bees, rats, snakes, spiders, and wasps, along with less common magical swarms. It explains their immunities and characteristics, and provides ideas for adapting them to fantasy adventures and campaigns.
