How many starting cards does MarsBot get when I use Prelude?
Give MarsBot 3 extra project cards for its starting action deck instead of Prelude cards. Also remove the Prelude card Recession before drawing your own Prelude cards. (Rulebook, p. 1)
What happens when MarsBot resolves a project card with a Wild tag?
MarsBot advances the least-advanced global track; if there is a tie, advance the topmost tied track. (Rulebook, p. 1)
Do I still perform World Government Terraforming when playing Venus Next?
No. Skip Venus Next’s Solar Phase Step 2, because Government Intervention provides the equivalent effect; MarsBot cannot be used with Venus Next without that card. (Rulebook, p. 3)
How are Colonies set up for MarsBot, and what happens when it gets 5 resources in a storage area?
Set up Colonies as for a two-player game, with every colony tracker starting on its highlighted second step. During MarsBot’s turn, whenever it has at least 5 resources in a storage area, remove 5 and advance the indicated track by 1; this does not apply to the Titan/Floater area. (Rulebook, p. 4)
Does MarsBot follow the ruling party’s policy in Turmoil?
No. MarsBot ignores the ruling party’s policy, does not lose 1 TR during the Turmoil Step, and Global Events affect only you. (Rulebook, pp. 6–7)
Can I use any Awards and Milestones from the expansion with MarsBot?
Use the MarsBot board and reference card for Tharsis, regardless of the map being played, and replace Corporate Competition with the MarsBot version. Terraformer is not supported against MarsBot; the rulebook also recommends avoiding multiple awards or milestones that evaluate MarsBot in nearly identical ways. (Rulebook, pp. 13–14)
