1992 · Card Game
Texas Showdown
Set in the saloons and gambling houses of the Old West, this game combines property acquisition, board movement, betting, and two-card poker. Players manage money wagered against the pot, use card combinations to move around the board, and collect properties or charge rent when opponents visit their establishments. Poor plays and certain board spaces can send players to court, where fines are imposed for various western-themed offenses. Statistical combinations create different outcomes from game to game. For 2–5 players, ages 12 and up; games take about 30 minutes.
