Characters live inside Absalom, a dark onyx monastery that has become a self-made prison for roughly one hundred people. Outside lies a desolate world inhabited by unimaginable monsters, including the undying Black Monk, who seeks to keep the inhabitants alive long enough to drive them insane. Players portray residents enduring the monastery’s endless cold and isolation, while facing the threat of the Black Monk’s visits, the disappearance of the sun, and unexplained shadows within the darkness.
