In the desolate world of Witherfall, isolated inhabitants prepare for the return of the mysterious Black Monk after generations without his presence. Players ready a tower with torches, oil, and defensive machinery as the fading sun gives way to an approaching army of shadows and the damned. The game focuses on holding the settlement against the ominous figure and the forces that accompany him.
