The Book of Forbidden Magic
This fantasy roleplaying supplement introduces 47 forbidden spells with extraordinary power, from destructive attacks and defensive magic to effects that manipulate or disable other spellcasters. Each spell carries a cost in profane points and the risk of triggering a calamity when cast. Rules cover profane points and nearly 50 possible calamities, including magical backlash, planar rifts, and mental intrusion by otherworldly entities. The material provides options for spellcasters willing to accept the dangers of forbidden magic.
