Players command Union and Confederate regiments led by commanders including Sherman, Jackson, Burnside, and Johnston. The Blind Swords system reflects the confusion of inexperienced armies: units may fail to respond to orders, hold their fire, or mistake friendly troops for the enemy. Players maneuver formations and manage combat across a chaotic battlefield where early Union success turns into a Confederate victory.
