The Dirt People
A satirical game set in California’s 909 area code, portraying a forgotten inland landscape of desert parties, off-road racing, outlet malls, strip clubs, meth labs, and missed opportunities. The setting draws on local stereotypes and pop-culture references, including films associated with the Inland Empire, Joshua Tree, and the surrounding desert communities.
