The Fortress of Fire
A fortress carved into the Clawcrest Mountains serves as the former lair of fire giants, who used elemental magic to build a vast stronghold and grow wealthy from taxing passing caravans. After the giants are driven out, rat goblins claim the fortress for their goddess and cultivate strange fungi throughout its halls. The remnants of the giants also become part of the new inhabitants’ plans, as their hands, hearts, and eyes are given an unnatural new purpose.
