The Griffarcus
Griffarcuses are otherworldly creatures that travel between planes, changing size and flying short distances on white, feathery wings. Resembling a llama or alpaca with an anteater-like head, they roam in small herds and defend themselves with tails that transform into venomous snakes. Adventurers seeking to tame one as a steed must use protective magic to survive its attack. Their omnivorous diets and resistance to poisons allow them to feed on vegetation, small animals, carrion, and discarded food.
