The Hallean Effect
A story for Mage: The Ascension 20th Anniversary Edition introduces a lost world beneath the Earth. A cabal of mages investigates legends such as Atlantis, El Dorado, and Shangri-La, discovering that these rejected realms have survived in isolation and developed their own purposes. As the cabal explores this hidden domain, it encounters ancient powers that resent the surface world and its intrusions. The story hints at the dangers of seeking places that no longer wish to be found.
