The Halls of Montezuma
This two-player card-driven game recreates the Mexican-American War of 1846–1848. The United States seeks to take California and invade Mexico while managing political opposition at home; Mexico conducts a defensive war of attrition against better-trained and led American forces. Players resolve the period’s military decisions and political dilemmas through a low-complexity system. Solitaire rules are included, with fast setup and games lasting approximately 60–75 minutes.
