While crossing a river, adventurers are enveloped by the mists of the Shadowfell and carried to an unexpected island. They explore the strange land, face the witches who lurk there, and seek a way forward. The adventure provides a route into the Ravenloft setting and the lands of Barovia featured in Curse of Strahd.
