The Lord of the Rings: The Card Game – A Shadow in the East

Players lead a fellowship of heroes into the eastern regions of Middle-earth to confront a spreading cult and the influence of Mordor across Dorwinion and the Rhûn hills. The game presents three linked scenarios that send players along the River Running, into the capital city, and into the surrounding hills, each with unique threats and objectives. Players build and customize decks from an expanded card pool that includes new hero and player cards, the first double-sided hero, a revised version of The One Ring, and a new contract card type. Cooperative play emphasizes questing, card management, and tactical combat as the group balances progression against mounting peril.
