The Lord of the Rings: The Card Game – Nightmare Decks: Khazad-dûm
This expansion recasts the three scenarios from the Khazad-dûm deluxe expansion into a harder, Nightmare Mode version. It provides three separate 20-card encounter decks that replace and augment the original encounter cards to create tougher enemies, more punishing locations, and scenario-specific complications. Players integrate the nightmare encounter piles into the scenario setup and follow the included instructions to modify encounter decks and trigger new effects during play. The set is designed to increase difficulty and alter tactical priorities while keeping the original scenarios and objectives intact.
