The Loss in Hanging Well

In old Rict, fear fills the sloping lanes and Officials murder freely, though they too may fall victim to the daemons of Hanging Well. Those who seek vengeance descend toward danger, while others follow the Hope—now threatened with the same fate. This compact rules-light adventure includes a map, five locations, and a set of protagonists. It leads characters through the depths and toward the edge of society, where they can uncover the secret of a feared site, encounter strange beings, and become involved with two emerging peoples. The material is designed for adaptation to different settings and systems, with deliberately open-ended details, random-number tools, and a compact booklet format for play on the move.
