The Man From Before
A mountain village prospers by producing a strange, magical oil, but its wealth is rooted in the legacy of a devastating war. The children who labor in the village know the true cost of this work, which is carried out at the bidding of a mysterious figure from the past. Players investigate the village, uncover its history, and decide how to interpret the powerful figure behind its prosperity—as an ally, mentor, exploiter, or villain. Their choices may reveal a dangerous secret capable of reshaping the campaign.
