The Men Who Would Be Kings: Colonial Wargaming Rules
Rules for fighting historical or fictional colonial battles of the mid- to late nineteenth century, from the Indian Mutiny to the Boxer Rebellion. Players recreate brief, fast-moving skirmishes involving British, French, German, or other imperial forces, as well as conflicts between rival native factions. Simple gameplay is driven by the quality of the officers leading each unit, with larger-than-life commanders influencing whether troops achieve glory or meet a violent end.
