Heavy mist has spread across the land surrounding Phlan after the Maimed Virulence’s assault, choking out joy and driving strange sounds and dwindling wildlife from the Quivering Forest. This expansion provides additional background and environmental detail for DDAL04-02 The Beast, including material for Dungeon Masters to enhance the adventure’s setting and atmosphere. It does not alter the adventure’s experience, treasure, renown, or other rewards, but may reveal information about this adventure and others in the Curse of Strahd season.
