The Monk's Respite
A high-level fantasy adventure for 4–6 characters of levels 8–10, set in the uncharted Parched Desert. While following an ancient trade route, the adventurers help a nomadic trader and receive a silver coin bearing five unknown symbols. The coin points toward the tomb of a despotic monk who served a chaotic deity, a place locals avoid because of its rumored riches and lingering evil. The scenario centers on exploring the tomb, uncovering its mysteries, and facing the dangers protecting the monk’s resting place. It is designed as a one-shot adventure compatible with most fantasy roleplaying games.
