A murder investigation unfolds in the small town of Rivercrest, where townsfolk are found dead beneath ominous shadow markings linked to an earlier terror. Players investigate crime scenes, question witnesses, and piece together clues to identify the killer while their inquiries attract its attention. The investigation leads from the town into the surrounding wilderness, where the creature responsible must be confronted.
