The Murdered
A fantasy-horror setting centers on victims of a long-vanished coven of sorcerous bandits. Sacrificed to a horned god, the dead rise a year and a day later as savage, animalistic humanoids wearing the masks used in their murders. The Murdered can serve as hostile creatures or guardians in a fantasy roleplaying game. They decorate their masks with the last traces of their humanity, never attack those responsible for their deaths, and treat all other humans as prey.
