The Opulent
Set during Prohibition in 1920s Atlantic City, this cooperative game has players operating an upscale speakeasy. Each player takes a distinct role while the club caters to politicians, mobsters, aristocrats, and social celebrities. Players entertain patrons with jazz and waltzes, prepare illegal drinks, hire staff and amenities, and pay lookouts to deter Federal Agents. Ten scenarios represent the years from 1920 to 1929, with the club required to earn enough money to cover each year’s operating costs. Scenarios can be played individually or as a campaign.
