In the celestial city of Kumohata, noble families, merchant-kings, and shogunate mandarins gather for the Court of Night Lanterns’ thousandth Season of Petition. Behind the rituals of etiquette, rival assassin orders pursue shared targets while masked couriers disappear and imperial ministers lose their voices. Whispers of Hajō-Kasetsu, a figure said to end oaths, spread through the court’s shadowed chambers.
