The Slaver Fungus

An aggressive ecology for 1e, OSRIC, and other OSR fantasy roleplaying systems. A slaver fungus arrives on a new world inside a meteoroid, then spreads from the impact site by consuming local organic material. As it grows, it develops into an interconnected network of creatures and hazards that expands across the surrounding area. Once mature, it releases spores into the atmosphere, creating a threat capable of spreading across the entire world. The ecology provides a layered encounter and world-building challenge for player characters.
