The Upgrade
An improvisational live-action roleplaying game set on a reality television show. Two players act as producers, while the remaining players form couples that are separated and paired with members of other couples. Across several episodes, each player decides whether to remain with their original partner or “upgrade” to their new match. Play combines improvised scenes with character monologues, flashbacks, and possible future events that can reshape how characters are understood. Producers introduce each episode and guide the action, while the other players portray events supposedly filmed for the show.
