An exploration setting for the world's most popular role-playing game, this game takes place in a lightless alien wasteland of brutalist megastructures, scattered settlements, and endless colorless sands. Players explore ruined structures, mine colossal pillars, delve into dangerous depths, and interact with factions struggling to survive while resisting the Harrowing, a form of psychological decay. The book provides tools for generating large hex-crawl maps, local areas, and dungeons during play, along with rules for navigation, exploration, and survival. It also includes 20 traveler feats, 10 monsters, 34 artifacts, 15 spells, and other options designed to emphasize player choice, ingenuity, and calculated risk.
