The War Game Rules

An updated set of miniature wargaming rules for eighteenth-century battles fought at battalion level. Infantry deploys in line, attack column, or march column, while cavalry uses its own formations. Each turn represents approximately fifteen minutes and follows a fixed sequence covering written orders, charges, movement, artillery and musketry fire, melee, morale, and compulsory movement. Unit movement and weapon ranges vary by troop type and terrain, with combat resolved using six-sided dice. The 56-page A4 ruleset includes colour photographs and a separate laminated set of play sheets.
