The War of the Worlds: Japan

A solitaire board wargame set during a Martian invasion of Japan. Players command Japan’s human forces while an automated system controls the invading Tripods. Japan’s smaller territory creates close, mobile battles with fewer movement options, while its smaller but well-trained military has a higher cost and greater chance of carrying out orders. Players manage production, build harbors, move units, and defend against successive waves of three Tripods. Games typically take about an hour and focus on accessible rules with meaningful decisions.
