This fifth-edition supplement examines the history of human-made lighting and how light functions in a fantasy world. It adds seven mundane light sources, including fungus lanterns and glow goop, optional rules for casting continual flame with higher-level spell slots, and a random light-source generator. It also introduces three magic items, including the intelligent lantern Obo the Illuminator, along with five monsters such as a living prismatic sphere and a radiant drake.
