True20 Adventure Roleplaying

A generic adventure roleplaying system supports fantasy, historical, modern, science-fiction, and other settings. Players create heroes, narrate adventures, and resolve action and conflict with a streamlined core system using a single twenty-sided die. The rules avoid separate hit point, power point, and experience point bookkeeping, instead using a Toughness save to determine damage. The book includes four ready-to-play settings: an Arabian fantasy of magic and djinn, a space opera among alien worlds, a mecha-versus-monsters setting, and a story of hidden struggles across time. Guidance allows the Game Master to adapt the system to additional genres and settings.
