Trueque
Players take on protagonists introduced in media res and resolve crises using a simple 1–2 d10 mechanic. Decisions create tense, consequential exchanges called "trueques," tracked by a "tablecloth of consequences" that shapes future choices and outcomes. A separate 1d4 "chaos die" models the creeping advance of horror, adding unpredictable pressure as scenes unfold. Character creation happens during scenario presentation, and play emphasizes narrative consequences and tradeoffs over granular simulation.
