A Type-Y yacht is a personal starship owned by the wealthy and used to entertain guests, conduct political or commercial missions, or serve as a symbol of status throughout Charted Space. Built on a 200-ton hull, it is designed for luxury rather than combat, with specially commissioned fittings and lavish staterooms suited to the needs of its noble owners.
