A roleplaying game set in an alternate Victorian era where space travel has enabled European powers to expand their colonies to Mars and Venus. Players portray British adventurers traveling to the Martian colony of Syrtis Major, where they explore the planet, encounter Martian cultures, negotiate relationships, and pursue trade, diplomacy, and personal ambitions.
