Ludensheim prospers under the rule of Baron Dietbold the Fell Axe, while the surrounding lands languish. The characters are called upon to uncover the source of the baron's wealth and power, navigating greedy merchants, corrupt sheriffs, and schemes aimed at conquest. This city-and-overland adventure for 3–5 characters centers on investigation, intrigue, and shifting alliances.
