In a modern world affected by the Armed Virus, women who carry the infection are forcibly isolated on Mermaid, an island prison used for quarantine and observation. The virus allows the human body to be weaponized, and activation can occur through contact between carriers. The setting follows those confined to the island and the consequences of living under this system.
