A war between the Empire of Erenwald and the Republic of Dormas has raged for more than seventy years, while the Church of Light supports both sides and the invading Darokar arrive from the East. The demonic Hand of the Abyss offers power to those desperate enough to surrender their souls. Players lead young mercenary companies whose actions influence the struggle. They choose whether to fight for Dormas or Erenwald, serve the Church of Light, embrace the Hand of the Abyss, or resist the Darokar invasion.
