Village on the Borderlands (1E)
A peaceful hamlet faces raids by ogres, bandits, animated fungi, and wandering skeletons. A party of 4–8 characters of levels 1–3 investigates the surrounding Valley of the Moon and confronts the creatures threatening the settlement. This sandbox adventure details the Hamlet of Taldren, including more than 100 named NPCs, numerous shops and homes, and the multi-level Whistling Pig tavern and inn. Four self-contained mini-adventures lead to the Ruins of Sternholm Keep, Hill Giant Highlands, Forest of the Fallen Oaks, and Caverns of the Wicked Peaks, each with its own objective and boss encounter and playable in any order. Designed for AD&D 1E, OSRIC, and other OSR games.
